Position: Accounting officer / Supervisor
Location: Kutchan Town, Abuta District, Hokkaido
Salary¥240,000 – ¥350,000

Job Overview

Responsible for overseeing all accounting operations related to hotel management and condominium ownership. This role ensures smooth financial processes to support the delivery of exceptional hospitality experiences for both owners and guests at Setsu Niseko.

Working Hours

8 hours between 9:00-18:00 (60-minute break)

*Work schedule may be subject to change depending on peak seasons and hotel occupancy levels.

Job Description

  • Manage revenue, accounts, and payment collections
  • Handle banking operations and all payment processing tasks
  • Coordinate billing-related communications, liaise across departments, and prepare/issue invoices and supporting documents
  • Manage petty cash and overall cash handling
  • Process employee reimbursements, including travel expenses and others
  • Perform daily accounting tasks, including data entry into accounting software and management systems
  • Support monthly and annual financial closings, as well as audit processes
  • Handle administrative duties such as audit support, compliance, and report preparation in response to requests from the Hong Kong parent company

Reporting Line
Reports to the Senior Accounting Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Practical experience in accounting operations or knowledge equivalent to Bookkeeping Level 2–3 (Boki).
  • Experience in hotels or seasonal resort destinations is a plus
  • Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Comfortable reading and writing documents in Japanese and English
  • Ability to adapt flexibly to changing situations and carry out necessary operations accordingly
  • Self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve personal goals
  • A team player with strong cooperation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically across all departments
  • Able to prioritize tasks, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines
  • Punctual and considerate toward colleagues
  • Must hold a valid work visa for Japan; visa sponsorship may be considered depending on education and experience
