Position: HR Officer / Supervisor (Full-time)
Location: Kutchan Town, Abuta District, Hokkaido
Salary¥240,000 – ¥350,000

 

Job Overview

You will be responsible for payroll processing, social insurance procedures, labor management, and daily HR operations.

Candidates with HR experience will be able to contribute immediately. Those without prior HR experience but who are interested in developing a career in HR are also welcome.
This role provides an opportunity to build skills through a wide range of HR and labor-related tasks.

Working Hours

8 hours between 9:00 – 18:00 (60-minute break)

*Weekends and public holidays are generally days off, however work on weekends and holidays may occasionally be required at the beginning of the month and during peak seasons.

Job Description

  • Review timesheets, process payroll, and input data into systems
  • Administrative work related to employee onboarding and offboarding, including social insurance procedures
  • Preparation of employment contracts and onboarding documentation
  • Document organization and filing
  • Support foreign staff with resident registration, bank account opening, moving-out notifications, and bank account closure procedures
  • Collect and manage employee information, documents, and IDs
  • Distribution, collection, and management of uniforms
  • Input data for new employees into the system
  • Work smoothly with other departments through effective communication
  • Respond flexibly to operational needs according to changes in circumstances
  • Other related duties as required

Job Requirements

  • Experience in HR operations or payroll processing is preferred
  • Knowledge of Japanese social insurance, Labor regulations, and visa procedures, or willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Basic proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Ability to set priorities, work with attention to detail, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage work independently
  • Punctual and considerate toward colleagues
  • Able to communicate smoothly with staff across the organization with empathy and respect
  • Experience working in a seasonal resort environment is an advantage
  • For foreign applicants, a valid work visa for Japan is required. Visa sponsorship may be considered depending on education and experience
