Position: Housekeeping Officer (Full-time)
Location: Kutchan Town, Abuta District, Hokkaido
Salary: ¥230,000 – ¥280,000

Job Overview

Join our team in managing and maintaining high-quality condominium properties in the scenic Niseko region. As a Housekeeping Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction by overseeing housekeeping operations, supporting cleaning staff, conducting room inspections, and performing cleaning tasks as needed. Working Hours

(1) 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (8 hours, 60-minute break)

(2) 8:45 AM – 5:45 PM (8 hours, 60-minute break)
Working hours may vary slightly during busy periods. Overtime is generally not required except during peak seasons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Part-time Cleaning Staff: Provide work direction and training to ensure that cleaning services meet our high standards.
  • Room Inspections: Conduct inspections before check-in and after check-out to ensure rooms are prepared properly.
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Oversee and manage the stock of cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens; place orders as necessary.
  • Cleaning Leadership: Lead the cleaning team and perform cleaning tasks when needed, particularly during busy periods.
  • Daily Cleaning Schedule: Manage and ensure the timely completion of daily cleaning tasks.
  • Other Related Tasks: Assist with various housekeeping and operational duties as required.

Requirements

  • Japanese Language: Proficiency in Japanese speaking and reading is required for effective communication with the team and guests.
  • English Skills: While conversational English is a plus, it is not mandatory. Some communication with international staff may occur.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Ability to use basic computer applications (Word, Excel).
  • Driving: Must be able to drive a Hiace van (valid driver’s license required).
  • Comfort with Cleaning Tasks: Able to perform cleaning duties and handle waste management without hesitation.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with others and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Adaptability: Must be able to adjust to changing situations and tasks as they arise.
  • Physical Activity: Enjoys physical tasks and is comfortable staying active during work hours.
  • Availability During Peak Holidays: Willing to work during busy holiday periods such as New Year, Obon, and Golden Week.
