Kutchan Potato Festival 2017
Potato is the mascot of Kutchan town, as we are well-known for producing high quality and tasty potatoes. The Kutchan Potato Festival, or Kutchan Jagamatsuri, is the largest summer festival in town - with the aim to celebrate the hard work of our local farmers. The festival includes events themed on potatoes – a local Kutchan specialty – such as Jan Jan Tori (all-you-can-grab potatoes). In the evening, the Jaga Nebuta parade and fireworks create a festive mood. More details can be found at Kutchan Town Office website (in Japanese only),
