Hokkaido is quickly making a name for itself as an internationally-renowned golf destination. With these premier courses in the immediate area, and numerous options for day-trips, Niseko is the crown jewel of Hokkaido’s golf scene.

HANAZONO Golf playing fees

This 7003 yard championship course in Hanazono is a stunner, and is the most sought-after course in the Niseko area. Varied terrain is spread across a challenging 18 holes (par 72), each with its own spectacular view of Mt. Yotei. In addition to the clubhouse, a Japanese bathhouse provides post-round relaxation.

Niseko Village Golf Course

Niseko Village, as its name suggests, is located next to the Hilton’s Niseko Village, and provides straight-forward, tree-lined fairways that open up to wonderful vistas of Mt. Yotei and the surrounding Niseko Volcanic Group. This 73 par, 6845 yard course is suitable for all levels, although the par 6 slog does provide some challenge. The Larch and White Birch put on their own show in the Autumn.

Niseko Golf Course

This 6805 yard, par-72 course near Niseko town was designed by world-famous golfer Arnold Palmer. Fittingly enough, it’s a difficult but fair course, with thoughtfully-placed bunkers and ponds breaking up the picturesque rolling fairways. Any frustration can easily be dealt with by simply looking up and admiring the majestic Mt. Yotei.
