Location
Greystone is located on Yukemuri Avenue, right in the heart of lower Hirafu. If you love being in the center of the restaurant and bar scene when travelling to ski villages, Greystone is perfect for you. There are great izakayas like Rin and Koharuya, a delicious yakitori restaurant called Yamanchu and the famous ‘fridge door bar’ Bar Gyu+ at only a stone throw’s distance, which means going out for fabulous meal or relaxing apres drink is effortless.
The nearest Hirafu and Hanazono shuttle bus stop is only 2 minutes away by foot, so getting to the famed powder of Hanazono and lifts in upper Hirafu is easy. If you enjoy walking, the hustle and bustle of Hirafu Intersection is less than 10 minutes by foot, which is surrounded by everything from an onsen to convenience stores and sushi.
Rooms
Greystone features a whopping 7 bedrooms over 3 levels, including a 6-bunk room for the kids to enjoy. There are 2 master bedrooms on Level 2 that both include an ensuite, desk and lounge area. The top floor bedroom includes a separate lounge/media area with TV, and there is one twin bedroom in the basement that is studio-style with a television and bathtub. In total there are 7 bathrooms and 3 wash closets, meaning each bedroom has their own space to freshen up each day.
The ground floor is the social hub of the house, with plenty of room to cook feasts, gather for meals or relax together with a movie. There are two lounge areas with a fireplace and television, with mood lighting to enhance the ambience and warmth of the space. A large laundry room with two washers and two dryers ensure that everyone’s clothes and ski gear can remain fresh throughout the holiday and a bar area next to the kitchen makes for the perfect space to eat, cook and socialise all in one place.
An unbeatable feature of this property is the expansive basement floor, which has a studio-style bedroom with ensuite, a huge locker room/changing area for everyone’s equipment and not one but two private onsen areas with showers to cleanse before / rinse off after a relaxing soak.
