After a three year hiatus, the Niseko Classic is back! !! Two races of 150km and 85km are official UCI Gran Rondo World Series qualifiers. Overseen by the Japan Cycling Federation, the Niseko Classic is the stepping stone to the World Championship in Trento/Italy.
Riders from all over Japan flock to the fresh air and closed roads to live the spandex dream. Locals have also been training throughout the year to ensure a strong showing and local pride. Come out and participate or just take in the excitement as early summer begins with the Niseko Classic!

Activities on tap include the "Niseko Cycle Festival" held at the main venue Tokyu Grand Hirafu. Cycling-related booths, local restaurants stalls, live music, a kids area, and various other stage events are planned to complement the cycling main event.

Main Event

150km Road Race

2,609 vertical meters of grueling ups and fast downs. A dynamic course following the Niseko Panorama Line to the Sea of Japan and back to Grand Hirafu. Clean air and stunning scenery are ensured!

85km Road Race

Starting flatter than with a climb this shorter race is still a challenge. A strong finishing kick is needed to hit the 1,426-meter climb at the end. Clean air and stunning scenery are ensured here as well!

15km Time Trial

A 25 km time trial course through Kutchan Town is also a highlight of the weekend. Top performers exceed 40kph and finish in less than 20 minutes. This race is a recognized UCIGFWS qualifier.

Niseko Yotei Fun Ride!

Allows the serious racers and those less inclined to competition to enjoy the local scenery and the beauty of the ever-present Mt. Yotei on a fun ride in the early summer. Don't miss out!
